Alexis Macdonald
Alexis MacDonald is the VP, People at Loopio, a fast-growing and award-winning Toronto technology start-up that accelerates the RFP response process. Born and raised in Alberta, Alexis obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta. Upon graduation, she joined Intuit Canada as a sales representative and was inspired by what it was like to work for a culture-first technology company. She then pivoted to HR, and worked as a business partner and leader in a variety of industries: travel, transportation, and media, where she spent 6 years at CBC/Radio Canada. In that time, she obtained her Masters of Human Resources Management from York University. Alexis is a people-focused leader, who is driven by a passion for creating inclusive workplaces that challenges each individual to do their best work. Now at Loopio, Alexis is helping build one of the best tech companies in Canada by attracting, retaining, and supporting Toronto’s most talented people
